This year, due to COVID-19 pandemic, REDOME decided to celebrate WMDD sending personalized face masks to donors who donated along this year as well as diverse collaborators from its network (blood banks, collection centers, transplant centers and NGOs). All of them, who support bone marrow donation in Brazil, were invited to post pictures and videos using the masks (with REDOME and WMDD logos) and sharing their experiences about the challenges to assure this essential activity would not stop. Using the icon of this year, we remember that the “social distancing” was not enough to put the solidarity and hope in quarantine.
